How can you calm down with football like this? And I don't just think of being humiliated yesterday, but the past 6 months.

We are playing worse than the worst of bfs. We have agening players who can't run, we have suoerhigh wages on crocked and shit players.

We looked worse than all the newcomers from championship, and preseason was diabolical in term of passing and possession.

The players doesn't look like having a clue, and my patience on slavens is waferthin.

The performance was obviously disappointing, we lacked any real threat...although to threaten you need to be able to keep the ball and pass it with some tempo and penetration- we did neither

Chicarito was starved of any service. We lacked a number 10 to get close to him and replace Lanzini. Without him we lack alot of creativity and any ideas going forward. Thought Arnie was awful...£25 Million for him ?!?!

Soton away is huge, need to play well and get something otherwise we are playing catch up already

We also need to get some more quality and depth in the wide areas and use the loan market to do this. The starting 11 were having a shocker and then we have 5 defenders on the bench. Stupid stupid decision from Slav

Very disappointing, really wanted something to be happy about from this game.

I thought Arnautovic looked good and Rice did okay. Good to see the young lad getting on. I am getting a little tired of Ayew, he had some excellent chances and as usual did nothing. Some what predictably Chicharito hardly saw the ball, but very disappointing to see that he never got a chance. I think Adrian would have done as well as Hart did, so Hart still has plenty to prove.
We need a good come back at Southhampton...

Agree with Marto on how the team applies itself to these big games. Too many erratic players in our squad that gift possession to the opposition (Masuaku, Fernandes, Obiang (I thought he knew better))....and more.
Sure United were physical & flew out of the traps but so should we have. First game of the season, a point to prove from last year, some impressive new signings playing and we just look over awed & ill-prepared & frankly incompetent.

The pre season (again) didn't instill any confidence in me about how good we are in possession and this game again proved that we just don't do enough on the ball.
Obiang's mistake for their 1st was the culmination of a first half of endless passing mistakes from defence and midfield.
At one point Fernandes had three WH players next to him on the edge of our area & he just hoofs it 30 meters past Arnautovic....????eehhh?

I really don't understand why Bilic tinkers with our line ups but the end of last season we looked a lot better with 3 CBs so why revert back to 2 CBs today???
I can see Bilic being kicked out this Dec if he can't get this squad performing. So forget about any ideas of selling Lanzini, he's imperative this year. And this endless injuries crisis just has to stop now, sick and tired of the incompetence behind it. What do they do in training?? F*** knows....wakey wakey summer holiday ended late July.

We've been absolutely tonked by both Manchester teams in the last few weeks which I hope is a wake up call to get our recruitment business done asap and start getting our act together for this season.

Well beaten, yes no doubt. to slump to 4-0 a bit disappointing. They Have literally spent hundreds of Milliions to get a side that might be CL contenders and their pedigree doesn't hurt when it comes to attracting the very best. Good luck to them and I hope they fail again.

As for us, I will reserve judgement until Soton away next week when I expect to get some semblance of what kind of season we will be in for.

In football, when pro players play shit it's normally because the other teams players are actually making you play shit. And the other teams players in this case are better than ours in every single position on the pitch. The prices of each of their players on the market tells you as much.

Not one of our players would have made their first 11. They were at home (and you know how Jose sees home games) and they had just had a game with Real Madrid where they nearly got something. Madrid being the best team in world football.

And people here are fucking moaning. Calm the fuck down. Gain some perspective.

The score was bad because Bilic through the dice after 2 nil because why not? We weren't going to win it anyway so you just twist things up and gamble.

The only thing I'd take from it is that lanzini or someone similar is to essential for us in order to add some creativity when we are just getting blocked out of games like that.

And lukaku will ALWAYS score against us..

Following on from my previous post.
I've always backed bilic and still do,Man U away is and always will be a bastard first game.
I don't know why Cresswell didn't start he's a proven player with England caps to he's name and as good as anyone on he's day.
To replace him with a pretty much unproven player is madness.
Out fitness looked lacklustre to the point where we gave up.
I fully understand the task of the fixture but we were fucking shit,
There's nothing to defend.

It's the same excuses week after week, match after match last season, after pre season matches playing against absolute toilet opposition and then again today.

He said afterwards that we'd practised defending set players for three days. Well we still can't defend them. From my perspective this is down to the manager (the 2nd goal).

It was depressing and shit.

People need to get a grip. It is early days and a team that is many pundits tip for the title has well beaten us at their home ground. ManU had a good and much more settled and competitive pre season than us and we looked well under prepared. Having said that I wonder if Palace fans are leaking all over their fans Boards wanting rid of De Boer already because they lost at home and could not score against a newly promoted team.

Next match against Southampton will be much more of an indicator of how things will pan out for us [ and the manager too ] in the long run.
